Kukuyuva means, “to understand each other”. This unique project involves a number of children who were involved in a training workshop on fabric painting. This skill is now used by them, to make different paintings twice a month. These painting are send abroad, where they are processed into bags and other items.
These items are then sold and the profit comes back to the project. From this profit the children are assisted with school necessities of their choice, e.g. school uniforms, shoes, bags or even school development fees.
They can use the skill after finishing school to earn an income.
